About the Library

Orientation

From the moment new Board staff arrive, the Research Library provides information on how to connect to the wealth of research, data, and news resources available. Knowing how to navigate library services and resources will increase your efficiency and even the quality of your work. There are a number of ways the Library reaches out to new staff:

  • New Board employees receive a briefing on library services on their first day at the Board.
  • Later, your library liaison will visit your office and help you get access to information resources you need to do your job.
  • Research librarians can provide orientation sessions to any Board staff who visit the library. Contact Ask-a-Librarian to request a library orientation.
  • Customized briefings and a number of guides to using library services are also available.

For more information about Library orientation options for new staff, please email Ask-a-Librarian, call x3333 or contact us via the Ask-a-Librarian IM.
