More Power of 500 ideas approved and implemented
Ideas keep flowing in to Bill and Michell.
As in past articles, the Legendary Service Project Team would like to continuously feature ideas that have been submitted in hopes of inspiring you to do the same. Whether approved or not, they have gotten our wheels turning about ways to continually improve our business practices.
Most recently, Jeff Mullen’s Power of 500 submission has been implemented Boardwide (see ItB article). During an internal communication audit focus group last fall, Jeff brought up the idea to have a master calendar in Outlook containing all employee events. He submitted this idea via the Power of 500 form. To learn more about the type of events that will populate this calendar and find instructions on how to add it to your Outlook calendar, click here.
Cyndie Sutton’s idea is another one that has already been implemented. She observed that many Board restrooms have hot water dispensers that look similar to soap dispensers and noted a story of a visiting contractor who burned his hands thinking he was simply reaching for soap. Facilities has followed up on this and the hot water dispensers in the Eccles Building bathrooms have been clearly labeled to avoid confusion.
There are several other ideas that are pending and being worked on by the appropriate parties. Stay tuned for more information in the coming months. In the meantime, as a reminder, the Legendary Service Project Team is here to assist you, whether it’s help with the form or answering questions.
