Message from Michell: New employee programs coming
Colleagues,
This month, I am providing a preview of two new employee programs that will be introduced in July.
The Buddy Program begins July 1. This is a best-practice program that enhances the experience of new MGT employees and helps them become productive staff members more quickly. Each new employee will be paired with an experienced colleague as their “onboarding buddy.” The buddy serves as a guide to the division and Board, a resource for questions, and a role model for our culture and values.
The MGT Customer Service Recognition Program will begin in July. This program will encourage division staff to recognize their colleagues’ achievements and contributions in the area of customer service. It unites the existing Star Award along with a new Walk-Around Spot Award to create more opportunities for acknowledging and rewarding front-line legendary service as it happens.
These programs support our culture of customer service and strengthen our collaborative relationships. I ask for your support and participation to help them take root. You’ll hear more details in the coming weeks.
I wish you a happy Independence Day and want to sincerely thank those of you who forego the holiday to support the Board’s celebration at the Martin Terrace. You make this fun and unique event possible for so many Board employees and their families.
