BLEC 24

The Law Enforcement Unit is pleased to welcome 12 new members to their team. On November 6, Basic Law Enforcement Course (BLEC) #24 completed their training and graduated at the unit’s training center in Upper Marlboro, Maryland.

Through the leadership and support from the unit’s training bureau staff, members of BLEC 24 effectively completed their 13-week academy, acquiring the necessary skills to be successful law enforcement professionals. They have come from varying levels of experience and transitioned from recruits to prepared, confident members of the Board family. Members have completed over 480 hours of training in topical areas such as firearms, use of force, defensive tactics, report writing, customer service, and advanced ethics.

Please join us in congratulating BLEC 24 and welcoming them to the Board!
