Colleagues,

Our leadership team, managers, and other colleagues from all branches are continuing to work on the division’s strategic plan for 2016 through 2020. As I reported in July, a cross-functional team of staff members has begun work on defining the objectives and actions that will help us meet our goals. We are spending time laying the groundwork in this quarter so that we can hit the ground running in January.

We already have some of the essential building blocks in place: our simplified mission and vision, and a single set of MGT values for all division employees. We will create the work environment that we all desire by having a shared understanding of:

• our division’s role at the Board (mission)
• where we are going (vision)
• how we work together (values)

And then each of us will find it easier to make decisions, set priorities, and be accountable for our work.

 

At tomorrow’s town hall meeting I’m going to share what we learned from the safe to speak focus groups and how that ties into the strategic plan. We also will be talking more about our mission, vision, and values. Please plan to participate, and be part of building momentum behind our new strategic plan.
