National Centers of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Education (CAE/IAE)

The National Security Agency (NSA) maintains a list of active National Centers of Academic Excellence (CAE) in Information Assurance Education which is updated each summer. The map below will link to NSA’s CAE list of universities, by state, that participate in the program.

Recruitment program students may apply for a scholarship through a non-DoD institution which has been designated as a CAE or CAE-R (research CAE) and elects to participate in the scholarship program. Retention program students may attend institutions as shown.Individuals who elect to complete the scholarship program through the National Defense University’s Information Resources Management College and a partner university may attend only those schools and degree programs which are noted as IASP qualified. The diagram below shows the CAE framework with recruitment and retention program options.
